Scientific editing
When editing scientific manuscripts, I go beyond correcting grammar and punctuation (although I do that too). Above all else, I strive for clarity, reading each sentence and paragraph carefully to make sure that the intent of the author is clearly communicated and understandable to educated, though not necessarily expert, readers like myself. I carefully review authors' guidelines from the journal to which the article will be submitted, formatting the manuscript to meet specific requirements.
I have edited manuscripts for several scientific journals as well as business plans and monographs for scientific organizations.
